A while back, I asked if anyone knew where you can find some hair/scalp sunscreen. I had a bottle of Banana Boat’s Hair and Scalp Protector for years and years, but alas it was almost gone and the product was discontinued. I hadn’t been able to find a replacement for years. I was like Elaine and her sponges, trying to decide if the day was worthy of using the scalp protection.

Then, on a trip to Australia last month, I found it! Beach Hut makes a Hair and Scalp Sunscreen. My wife and I immediately bought out the stock (yes all four of them) at $10 a piece. When searched online, I found that the sunscreen could be bought in the US at Circle K’s. Hey there are Circle K’s near where I live. I couldn’t be happier…

…Until I got back to the United States. I found out that my big find wasn’t so big. Banana Boat was busy ignoring my e-mail about their similar products… and then they released one, Sport Body and Scalp Sunscreen. It was available nearly everywhere I looked… and was only $5. I have used a few times and it works as well as the older Banana Boat stuff. In fact it’s got twice the SPF and works well on skin (not just hair and scalp), making it an all around great sunscreen.

If you have a chance and have thinner hair, I highly recommend picking some up.

This past weekend I went to Napa with my wife and a friend. I have to admit that I had a few too many drinks, ate a little too much food, and got less exercise than I should have. I’ve got buckle down hard over the next couple of weeks. In about ten days, I’m going away to Australia and Thailand and might be a similar situation – too much extra stuff going on and not as much focus on health.

Here are some links that I enjoyed from last week:

Israel is experiencing Consistent Weekly Weight Loss: 1 More Pound Lost. I’m still trying to figure out the photoshop trick.

Deflabbify is is able to get a 403% burn rate on Wii Fit Basic Run. I need to spend a little more time with the Wii Fit. It’s been gathering a little bit of dust lately.

J.D. is still Getting Fit Slowly, choosing to get some walks in while his leg is healing. I twisted my ankle a few weeks ago and I have to recommend swimming. For some reason, after each swim it felt like a million dollars.

Did you know that Michael Phelps Consumes 12,000 A Day? I had read 10,000 recently and was going to write an article about it. Since I’m Lazy, and Jim already has the article, just read his. If it helps pretend I wrote it .

Fit36 looks like he’s repeating Week 5 of his hundred pushup plan. I think I’ve almost completely given up on the program. I can’t seem to convince myself to do pushups any more. I think if the program was going to be successful for me, it would build a day of non-pushup exercise.

Weight Loss Journal has a 2.2 pound weight gain this week. It sounds like he’s got a great plan

NCN has found the Become A Swimmer. As I said earlier, I can’t recommend swimming enough. I’m glad that NCN has realized how good it is.
